With shooting nearly as icy as the weather outside, Memphis loses to Southern Methodist 70-60 on Saturday. Memphis shot poorly; 32% FG, 36% 3PT, 63% FT. The Tigers were outrebounded by 11 and didn’t force many turnovers. SMU forward Papa Dia continued the trend of Memphis allowing post players to have career games against the Tigers. Dia finished with a double-double, 23 points and 14 rebounds. Add those things together and couple them with being on the road and it doesn’t usually end well.
