Despite a sluggish start, the Memphis Tigers (21-8, 11-3 C-USA) captured a 76-69 victory over Southern Miss on Saturday night. The Golden Eagles (16-12, 6-8 C-USA) had Tiger fans worrying in the first half after capturing a 15-4 lead. Unlike Memphis’ last performance at Houston, an embarrassing 92-75 loss, they were able to bounce back from a slow start and put away Southern Miss.
