erica2 Over the next few weeks, Memphis Roar will be introducing the members of the 2009-2010 pom squad one by one, letting you in on some of the things outside of dance that drive these young ladies. Meet Erica.

Erica is a senior education major from Illinois. Erica may look familiar as she is the twin sister of fellow Pom Squad member Christina. She started dancing with her sister when she was four years old. Erica came to the University of Memphis because she wanted to be a part of Memphis Pom. Check out the following Q&A for a look inside the Memphis Pom Squad and more information on Dance Team member Erica.

Q: What is the biggest difference between dance in college versus high school/all-star?

A: “Dance in college is more about cheering on your team and being a visible part of the University. In high school we didn’t cheer at the games and just performed at halftime and prior to the game.”

Q: My career ambition is:

A: “To have a successful career that I enjoy!”
