Heading into the spring, Memphis Roar has planned to travel to the McDonald’s All-American game in Columbus, OH and the Jordan Brand All-American game in New York, NY. With anywhere between two to five student athletes representing the University of Memphis in these two games, this is a great opportunity for our site and our viewers.
INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS
As suggested by one of our readers, we will open up the opportunity to our readers to make individual private donations. We are so thankful for the fact that we have viewers that are willing to help. So, thank you.

Being a completely free site, we hope that one or more local businesses will take this amazing sponsorship opportunity. With your business’ help, we will bring full coverage including articles, highlight videos, player and scout interviews and high quality photographs from each of these events. Your sponsorship of one or both of these events will guarantee your business prime product, name and brand advertising space in all content generated.
The University of Memphis will have two representatives from the 2010 recruiting class in each game and the level of interest in the coverage will be extremely high. For example, one of our video’s taken at last year’s McDonald’s All American game of an Xavier Henry interview logged 85,000 views in two days.
What we are proposing to any business that is interested in sponsoring our trips to the All American games is based on a tiered sponsorship plan. Below is the breakdown:
Bench Warmer Package – Sponsorship Amount: $500
Details: Advertising placement of one piece of artwork (logo, coupon, etc) within all articles generated from one of the two All-American games (event is chosen by sponsor).
Starter Package- Sponsorship Amount: $900
Details: Advertising placement of one piece of artwork (logo, coupon, etc) within all articles generated from both of the All-American games.
Varsity Package- Sponsorship Amount: $1500
Details: Advertising placement of one piece of artwork (logo, watermark, coupon, etc) on any highlight videos, video interviews or articles generated from one of the two All-American games (once again, the event is the choice of the sponsor).
Elite Package – Sponsorship Amount: $2,500
Details: Advertising placement of one piece of artwork (logo, watermark, coupon, etc) on any highlight videos, video interviews or articles generated from both of the two All-American games.
All-American Package – Sponsorship Amount: $3,000
Details: Advertising placement of one piece of artwork (logo, watermark, coupon, etc) on any highlight videos, video interviews or articles generated from both of the two All-American games. A two-month ad spot on the site in place of the current “Get Creative” ad. This ad will run during March and April (the two months in which the All-American games will be played). Additionally, this package allows for an advertisement to be placed at the top of one of the forums (sponsor choice) on the Memphis Roar message board.

We have tentatively broken down our expected expenses for the McDonald’s and Jordan Brand All-American games.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE
Since these games are in late March and April, you can donate anytime between now and then. You can also donate multiple times (not saying you have to or should feel obligated to…we will be thankful is one person donates one time).

MY PERSONAL NOTE
Trust me when I say this: we do not take this opportunity lightly and will be making the most of it. All videos will be posted the same day. All pictures will be uploaded prior to the end of the event. We will be updating often and as soon as possible. Any corner that can be cut in terms of cost will be cut. Instead of flying to Columbus, I have already made plans to drive in an effort to cut expense. Additionally, we will be cramming into as few of rooms as possible. So, like I have said already, thank you for the opportunity. We do this site for those that read it.
