If you recall, we wrote about an up-and-coming sleeper guard in the 2011 class from Oak Ridge, TN (Oak Ridge HS) named Lonnie McClanahan in mid-July after watching him at the Memphis Super Shootout. Well, we got our hands on some footage of the lightning-quick 6-foot-1 lead guard and it proved our suspicions that McClanahan is being severely overlooked. Check out the four minute highlight video of McClanahan going off for 51 points this past season for his high school and let us know what you think on our message board.

With such a vibrant message board community, we want to present an opportunity for you, the fans, to pay tribute to former Tiger Lorenzen Wright. If you are talented with Photoshop (or programs of that sort), submit Photoshops of Lorenzen that pay tribute to him as a person and a player. We will post these here (on the front of the site) for message board users to place in their signatures as a testimony to what he meant to the Memphis community.

Also, we would like for you to submit your memories of Lorenzen and we will publish a running list of “fan memories” as they come in. Please submit both to brooks@memphisroar.com with an e-mail subject of “Lorenzen”.
