Josh Pastner and the University of Memphis have reached an agreement in principle to hire Robert Kirby as assistant coach. Kirby, a Memphis native, is known as one of the best recruiters in college basketball.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis’ Joe Jackson will return for the 2013-14 basketball campaign, head coach Josh Pastner announced Monday. The Tigers head coach also announced Monday that Antonio Barton will transfer and explore other opportunities.
