MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Michael Dixon Jr., a 6-foot-1, 190-pound guard from Kansas City, Mo., has signed to attend the University of Memphis, head coach Josh Pastner announced Thursday. Dixon is enrolled in the University’s first summer school session that began this week.
BRISTOL, Conn. – The Tigers are heading back to New York City in 2013. On Wednesday, ESPN announced the University of Memphis as one of four participants in the Dec. 17 Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden. ESPN also announced the Classic’s pairings and game times.
The University of Memphis has added Missouri transfer guard Michael Dixon Jr., according to multiple sources. Dixon, a 6’2″ combo-guard will seek a hardship waiver, allowing him to play for the 2013-2014 season after being dismissed from Missouri last fall.
