Gotta agree, Peyton. I think we have 16 or 17 three stars right now (according to Rivals). Considering the way our season went last year and the current condition of our program, that is a M-A-J-O-R achievement! Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come. Porter has done an incredible job. Let's keep this coming!

Agree. It would be interesting to compare these class ratings to the past 10 years of so - if someone wants to do the analysis, ha. I can do it, but it will be a couple of weeks before I have the time.

So our highest rated players in at least 10 years. Problem is, we're still 5th in the league. So CUSA is getting more of the top 200 than they ever have. That's good news/bad news...Oh well, rankings are notoriously flawed. Coach evaluation is where it's at.

If we get Clear, a 4 Star Recruit, I think it will put us in at 3rd in CUSA.

Did we ever hear anything about Sean Farr, last years 4* recruit. Is he coming to school next year?

FYI- Rivals has updated the rankings for C-USA. They added Pennington, Hunter, and Harris. They now have us ranked 4th in C-USA. That's pretty dang impressive considering our current state

I have a question. How many of these guys that are part of this class ( 2011 ) are going to be able to impact Next years Team? I know we can offer PT early, but even at memphis, still alot of freshmen don't see the field much. I am wondering if any of these guys can come in and really impact the overall Win Loss Total for next year. There should be some improvement from last years guys, I just am searching for something to get excited over....

Good point. Following the logic that Fresh don't contribute a lot, you can get excited over last years class and the progress we should see by our Sophomores.

Point taken Chi but given that our OL wan deplorable last year 6 young men that average 6'6" and 315 can most certainly make a tremendous impact on wins and losses. just ask the QB who will be getting up off his back side a lot less this year IMHO. true you can not get overly excited about the entire class turning our program into a Bowl contender next season but at least they should help us win 3-5 games which will be a huge victory for our program

plus we should be able to run the ball some behind these big uglies, those are some big dudes for freshmen.
