4 big time players in Memphis per rankings...

I thought it was interesting that the top 4 players in the state of TN are all from Memphis in the 2012 class per Scouts rankings:

1. Brian Kimbrow, Memphis-East (No. 16 RB, No. 94 Overall)
2. Nate Cole, Memphis-Mitchell (No. 24, WR, No. 156 Overall)
3. Jovon Robinson, Memphis-Wooddale (No. 21 RB, No. 173 Overall)
4. Will Gross, Memphis-Melrose (No. 11 QB, No. 229 Overall)

All four kids are rated 4 star prospects by Scout... a lot of talent in the city in this class hope we can keep some for the home school!

According to Scout, those are the only 4-stars in the state and we are talking to all of them. ESPN and Rivals also have WR Drae Bowles out of JCS in Jackson as a top player in the state and I believe we are talking with him also. Kimbro and Cole are the consensus guys mentioned on all the sites. Looks like 2012 might be a speed and skill upgrade year!

Curious...Scout lists Marcus Holliday out of Fairley as a non-rated prospect. Is he any relation to Doc Holliday who played at Memphis, and why does he not list Memphis as one of his schools?

I agree I'm sure he will get two of them to stay if he has a good winning record. We are more visible to the young men in the city since TW left. Marketing is better with CLP. CLP has a better relationship and more respect from the local high school coaches than previous coaches. He could get two, and if he does? What an upgrade in the level of recruits and depth.
