Not that I am complaining, but why in the last week or so all these commits? Just gives so much time for the bigger conferences to swoop in.

I think Porter has a different philosophy than West did. I think he goes confidently into a recruitment trying to get the commitment no matter the time with the mindset that he's going to outwork everyone to keep him until signed. In that case, there's no need to wait.

Not to mention, he can build some momentum and use that to convince the local kids to stay at home. If Memphis kids start wanting to stay home and play football, we can be pretty good.

Porter just did more in a week than Tommy did for some of his entire recruiting classes. There were a couple Tommy classes that only had 2 three stars. Porter pulled in 3 in six days. Let's just hope they stick, and there's more to come. I'm optimistic, but we need a positive season to keep this momentum going.
