Fortunately, this guy seems to have half a brain, so i think we will get some wins this year... seems to know what he's doing, what he wants to do, knows how to recruit the players to fit what he wants to do accordingly, and hires coaches that seem to be able to help him
Will CC player enroll in January?

The Porter hire was unfortunate for everyone. This may have been RC's worst blunder, and he made it trying to appease the locals. Anyone with eyes and ears knows that Porter was not the man, therefore, few have reason to complain. We welcomed one of our own back, we gave him the VIP treatment for the first year, and we finally saw the writing on the wall and did what we had to do. Regardless, I wish Larry well and hope that he has a bright future.

Gotta believe he will - along with the handful of other JuCos and Karam, the QB transfer.

Do any of the players enrolling in Jan. count against the total we sign during national signing period? I thought I read that the jucos didn't count. We have plenty of scholarships available in total scholarships.
IMO, the new coach is doing a pretty good job recruiting. I hope he keeps Gross as a recruit.

I think the rule is "no more than 25 new players enrolling in August". So January enrollees would not count. Not 100% sure though.

We lost 16 seniors. We had 65 on scholarship. That leaves 49 on scholarship. so we should try to get a total of 85. that leaves 36 Scolarships that we can use if we don't count the 9 Jucos. we can sign 16 more freshman recruits and any Jucos this week, if we don't count the Jucos signees. thats plenty of schollys. Go get us the four stars Coach. We got plenty of room.

Hard to get 4 stars competing with SEC schools, especially being on the job 4 weeks.

FBS schools are limited to 25 scholarship offers per year. The best we can do is get back to 74 this year, assuming we don't lose anyone else.

It was my understanding that the jucos signed at mid-term did not count against the 25. Is this wrong?

The student-athlete shall be included in the institution's total counter limit during the academic year in which the aid was first received.

It is my understanding you can add 25 per year. If you sign 25 in February and some of them don't make it to school, you can add mid term enrollees to get up to the 25. I think that is what happened with us this year.
