Default INFO: New addition to 2011 roster

Word is that 6'1" 190-pound running back from Cross County High School will be walking on to play football next season. He is a dual-sport athlete who also played guard for his high school team in Wynne, AR. I'm still waiting to confirm this 100%, but I feel pretty confident that my info is good on this one. Not sure of the connection, etc yet, but either way, he's one more guy to cheer for.

    Basketball mention:

Cross Co. 85, Marked Tree 65

CHERRY VALLEY — Brothers Jake and Blake Veasley combined to score 44 points Friday night, leading Cross County to an 85-65 victory over Marked Tree in senior boys’ basketball.

Jake Veasley scored 23 points and Blake Veasley produced 21 for the Thunderbirds (7-3, 5-2 2A-3). Darian Hare added 16 points for Cross County, which led 24-9 after the first quarter, 42-25 at halftime and 62-51 after the third quarter.
Darius Ivy led Marked Tree with 30 points.
Marked Tree won the junior boys’ game 34-12.
