    Default Memphis Grizzlies

Does anyone ever think it will be possible for Memphis to get a superstar to build a team around? Would anyone even want to come here? We have been praying for 8 years to get a freakin star in our midst than can be a game changer like Kobe, Lebron, Chauncey...etc. Without a start player in the NBA, your basically dirt.

    Any thoughts or prayers? Lol

They should keep building through the draft, and sign role players who have veteren leadership.

The Grizz have had back luck in the draft lottery for so long, I'm convinced the whole thing is fixed. If by some miracle they get the top pick, Blake Griffin would be a HUGE pick for the Grizzlies.

Add that to the fact that they have the lowest payroll in the NBA, never mind that the salaries of Antoine Walker, Steve Francis, Chris Mihm, Damon Stoudamire, and Adonal Foyle are all expiring too. The Grizz are far enough below the salary cap that they could afford to sign LeBron. Not saying he'd come to Memphis, but they'd have the money to bring him in.

We will know for sure if the lottery is rigged this year if the Thunder gets the 1 pick.

Just dreaming of course, but if we land Blake, keep OJ, and trade Rudy (sorry Rudy)...so we can get can get a good role player...then that would be a team I would watch.

The ones we need to ditch are Darko Milicic and Marko Jaric. Between them, they make $14M per year. Get rid of those two boat anchors and the Grizz could sign LeBron and another solid player (like Steve Nash).

I agree with that. Might as well swing for the fence. But I do think we need a big time big man.

Give me Chris Wallace's job and an open checkbook and I'd have the Grizzlies back in the playoffs.

Lebron's my dude, but he wants to be in the lights, i dont think we can offer enough money to come here, but if we did get him MAN! that would be the s**T. i also think OJ will bolt if we do not start winning. We arent as bad as we seem. we play three good(key word) quarters and then forget about the fourth the majority of the season. I think we are the next trailblazers. Young and ready to take over the top

The current highest paid player in the NBA is Kevin Garnett at $24M per year.

Depending on how much we want to offer Hakim Warrick to stick around, we could even afford to pay the equivalent of KG's salary.

Don't worry about Mayo leaving. He'll be around at least until 2012.

Blake Griffin would be huge. Overall this draft sucks, but they need someone who knows how to build a team through the draft. They did well last year in the draft. The need players not egos in free agency.

I say we go after the big 4 next summer and try to sign 2 of them. Lebron, Dwade, Bosh and Amare. I think Lebron isn't happening so I would tell Miami(so we can get rid of some payroll in the process) to do a sign n trade with Dwade and we'll give them OJ, Conley, Darko and Juric for Wade and Mario Chalmers. Then we go hard after Bosh first then Amare if the Bosh thing falls through.

    PG Chalmers
    SG Wade
    SF Gay
    PF Bosh
    C Gasol

Now that would be a great lineup, we fill our biggest needs PF and a Superstar presence.

I'd hang onto Mayo and get rid of Gay.

I would agree w/ you but there would be noway Miami would take the deal w/o Mayo. I think getting Wade would help us in landing 1 of the 2 b/w Bosh and Amare.

I will admit that that its looking up for this year over past years. We did something RIGHT with last years draft, maybe someone could happen with this one. I know they're looking at free agents right now, some are okay. I doubt we would get BG in the draft. Would they take Tyreke though?

The Grizzlies should trade Conley if they have a shot at drafting Rubio or Jennings

I don't know about Conley for a rookie but maybe in a deal for a legit player like Bosch. Conley showed some improvement after Hollins took over. Still would like for him to be more aggressive.

I haven't seen any vid on Rubio is he pretty good?

How about that Pete Maravich move, did he go around the back twice! Good highlights, he was non stop.
