Not sure if this goes anywhere, but it will certainly raise some eyebrows, if true.

If even a bit of its true and they have to forfeit some games, Boeheim is a goner.

After he slandered the guys that his assistant coach was raping for for several years under his watch, I don't see how the SU can keep him if this story has legs.

I know at least a couple of those guys have since admitted fabricating the story.

ESPN has possessed for several years a taped phone conversation of Fine's wife admitting that both she and Fine had sex with at least one of the boys in question. As it stands now, authorities believe that Fine is guilty. Boeheim has reversed course, apologized and referred the the accusers as "victims," and he is currently being sued for slander.

Follow the saga on SportsByBrooks. It's ugly.

By all means lets get this program into the elite confines of the ACC. UConn is next of course.

Are you referring to the guys who accused Bernie Fine? Yeah, one admitted fabricating the story, IIRC, the one who was in jail, and maybe his friend/relative. But the others didn't, and there were certainly several more.

Boeheim kind of lost it at first and attacked the accusers without thinking. Then he was forced to backtrack. The last thing I saw was
he had thrown his support behind a children's rights agency. He seemed genuinely moved in his apology press conference after talking to some of the victims.

If this latest story is true...he might need to win the championship this year to keep his job.

He was accused by the 2 brothers first. They still maintain that he abused them. One guy that accused them has come out and said that it's not true. Another guy Ithat accused him filed a civil suit against him. It was determined that he doctored some emails to make it look like he was at a game where he claimed he was molested but he wasn't there. He still maintains that he was molested but there is some reasonable doubt now. That was the guy that is in jail for molesting a kid. AFAIK those guys are the only ones accusing him. I am certainly not saying that they are all lying. There is just more doubt in my mind about this case than the Sandusky case.

Boeheim did the right thing, supporting his friend, but in the wrong way, slandering the guys that may have been abused. He should have just said that he stands behind his friend and left it at that. As it is he threw the guys under the bus, Fine got fired and he will probably have to settle with these guys for some $$$.

This thread is about drugs at Syracuse, but since we're on it, I'm not disagreeing with your version, other than the status of the original case.

The first accuser, Zach Tomaselli, accused Fine of molesting him over a number of years. His cousin or other relative supported his allegations. Then he produced a tape of a phone call with Fine's wife, who admitted that Bernie had molested Zach over a number of years. This has never been refuted. But the statute of limitations has run out, so it is unclear if anything will be done. Also, Fine's wife had sex with the kid.

So, the phone call, which I read a full transcript of, proves to me that the first kid is telling the truth. The issue is that the law probably can't do anything.

Then a third guy, in jail, made accusations, which were later found to be false. Now, this past week, a fourth accuser has come forward, saying he was molested by a head coach at Syracuse about 10 years ago. Nobody knows yet who that is.

And yes, this is nowhere nearly as extensive as the Sandusky case, but molestation is still the same crime, regardless of how many victims there are. And I think that phone call proves the original case, since there are rarely ever witnesses, and nobody ever talks.
