Victory over Rice!

The Memphis baseball team got a victory over 6th ranked Rice Owls 6-2 today. The Owls won the series but the Tigers played very well this weekend. We lost a 1-0 ballgame on Friday night and then lost 15-4 on Saturday. The game Saturday was 5-4 going into the 8th inning when the Owls scored 9 runs. Other than that 8th inning the boys in Blue and Gray played the 6th ranked Owls very tough. The team needs more fan support. They play their butts off, the park is beautiful, admission is cheap and the baseball is very good. The team is relatively young and the frosh/sophs are getting a lot of playing time which will suit us well in the next couple years.

Come to the games, encourage others to come to the games. You won't be disappointed!
