REALLY nice article on Gilchrist. Now I see why Coach was so high on him at the Signing Party. Can't wait to get Will here. Seems to have a lot of talent and a good attitude.
Good job, Football Tiger!
Thanks for the compliment. I have been slacking lately, but will have another story or two up before spring practice starts.
As far as Will Gilchrist is concerned, he is a great kid. He is one of those kids, that now he is a Tiger, he really takes pride in it. When you talk to him, you see pretty quickly that he is a focused and determined young man. He's a yes sir type kid and will always represent himself well in interviews, he's not shy. I like his confidence and all the compliments from his coaches about his work ethic. And while he's confident, he seems in no way arrogant. In that regard, he reminds me of a Tim Tebow. I fully expect him to be in the thick of things for the QB position after redshirting this fall. Bass will be hard to beat in another year, but Gilchrist is right up there with Bass in regards to dual threat talent. Gilchrist may even be slightly faster, whil Bass is bigger, stronger, and a big time arm. While Gilchrist lacks Bass' arm, Gilchrist is a very accurate passer, especially on short and intermediate routes.
Great! Tim Tebow really impressed me, and a lot of other folks, obviously!
Bass is a very exciting player so far, and I am thrilled we have another Big Time QB in Gilchrist. I am also delighted to have Hudgens back, and with our No. 1, Arkelon, we will have quite a corps of QB's.
