Cousins Makes His Way to Memphis
MemphisRoar has confirmed that ESPNU’s #4 overall player DeMarcus Cousins is in fact going to be visiting the River City this weekend. Expected in town later tonight, Cousins will take in tomorrow’s “Senior Day” game against Tulane. This will be an unofficial visit.
Cousins is described as a highly skilled power forward with the ability to absolutely dominate games when focused. Having all the tools to score on the low block, he can also take his man away from the rim. Cousins is an extremely adept passing big-man.
We plan on checking up on DeMarcus while in Memphis and will be bringing you all the details of his visit and the latest in his recruitment.
Cousins’ first time on national TV a success…for him and Tigers
Demarcus Cousins took the court last night and for the first time something was different. The bright lights were on, the cameras were rolling and the #4 rated prospect in ESPNU’s Top 100 for 2009 had a national television audience tuned in on ESPN2 to watch him take on Derrick Favors and South Atlanta.
Old Spice High School Showcase Tonight
Memphis Roar will be sending two guys down to the 35233 area code for the Old Spice High School Showcase at Bartow Arena tonight. The feature game, which will be shown on ESPN2 at 8:00pm CST, will be a highly anticipated matchup between ESPNU 100’s #2 and #4 overall players in the 2009 recruiting class.
